Browse 2 questions Browse 2 questions and 4 answershow do you use them? Do I crush them , chop them up or put them in whole?BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't crush them, as you could potentially lose some of the oils containing the flavor you want. I placed mine in a muslin bag, and placed them in a sanitized secondary fermenter. I then racked my brew (after primary fermentation was done) onto the bag of hops. The hops made their way up as I racked, letting every bit of the brew go through the floating hop bag. Racked to a bottling bucket and into bottles after 6 days. Was a belgian IPA with the whole leaf Mosaic hops and two cases were gone in a week. Everybody loved it. Good luck.Could I use this in a fruit Pale Ale?BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. I use it in a few of mine.
