I use it in IPAs and Pale Ales.January 8, 2013Good general purpose base extractMy preferred beers are porters, brown ales, and amber also, so this is a natural DME to use. I also use it for my yeast starters. It's sticks to everything so what i do is pre-measure out what I need, so I can dump it directly in, so it doesn't have time to stick to the side of the bag.April 16, 2013good for many beersThe Muntons DME tastes a little different and better than the Briess DME. I tried both in a side by side experiment and prefered the Muntons. Maybe it's how they mashed it, or there is a difference in what was added, but somehow the Muntons is better.
