5.0 / 5.014 Reviewsgood stuffAn all around great base for any German Wheat extract brew.November 8, 2012Used for all wheat beersI've brewed many a batch with this wheat extract. I often substitute this DME in place of LME in my reviews because of it's easy of use and lack of clumping. Just remember to convert the difference for your recipe._x000D__x000D_One bit of advice: This stuff hates any kind of moisture. I've learned (the hard way) that it works much better to transfer the powder to a dry, plastic container prior to mixing it into the water. If you attempt to dump it in from the plastic bag directly into hot water the steam quickly creates a "sludge" at the lip of the bag that makes a terrible, sticky mess.January 2, 2013Makes a good Wheat beerI prefer the Munton's extract to the Briess. I also prefer the dry to the liquid extract, I think it's easier to use (just keep it away from moisture). I use this in my Wheat beers, and even in others like a Kolsch or a Belgian. When pouring, if steam hist it, it will clump, so pour fast - all at once. Or pour from an intermediary container like a cup or bowl._x000D_January 18, 2013Good extractI prefer the Muntons DME to some of the wheat LMEs I've tried. This is an all around great base malt for a Wheat beer. I also use it in Lambics.February 14, 2013perfect boostI used this with my Belgian Witbier and it boosted the AV 1% without altering the taste, must use if you are trying to up the alcohol content.February 20, 2013Good for wheat beersThis extract makes a very good wheat beer. Its so much more convenient to use small bags (3 pounds) for small quantities than to have to keep larger containers of wheat malt that I'd rarely use.April 19, 2013works for all wheats!great for all wheat beers, adds a little kick without altering the taste. Just make sure not to open the bag next the boil or the extract will clump and stick to the bag.May 19, 2013Good maltI use this in my citrus wheet beer. It's consistantly good and the price is right.June 10, 2013very consistantdoes exactly what it is supposed to do. I use this for all of my beers that require wheat and it has never let me downJuly 25, 2013
