1 year agoApril 11, 2012Better cloneI liked this clone of Corona. It had less bitterness and more aroma. It was easier to drink and didn't need a lemon wedge.October 1, 2012Good base malt extractI didn't know what to expect from this, but it was actually pretty good. While not exactly a Corona, it was still refreshing and easy to drink. I would try other kits with this brand (Muntons) based on my experience with this.July 2, 2013Great base for green chili cervezaSeeking to clone Negra Modelo, I used this and altered it with the addition of smoked green chilis. Rave reviews.March 30, 2017Purchased
11 months agoCorona in a canI used this in a 20 minute kit and I'm impressed with it's quality. I was expecting a Mr. Beer type mediocre beer, and instead it came out quite drinkable. This is a good quality extract.April 3, 2013Corona wanna beIt makes a passable beer. Corona fans may want to try it. To make a real lager you need to us lager yeast and do a temperature controlled fermentation. Then you have to lager it.December 19, 2013Not really CoronaI'd say this extract is ok, but nothing special. Its a lot better than Mr. Beer if that's what you are comparing it too. But if you compare it to a lager kit, its just average. It doesn't take that much like Corona to me.August 18, 2013

Just as it is, it would be approximately 3.1 % ABV if made as a 5-gallon batch. We would recommend adding a few pounds of malt extract to a beer made from a can kit like this, bring it up to about 4.1% ABV.
