DetailsBrew simpler and smarter by using muslin bags for hop additions and steeping grains, keeping debris out of your wort for clearer, better beer with less effort. Muslin bags are an essential tool on any brew day and should be part of any brewer’s emergency kit, effective in keeping hop pellet residue contained. Save time, minimize post-boil filtering and avoiding clogging equipment without giving up your love for brewing massively hopped beers with the simple, inexpensive use of a muslin bag.
Muslin bags are also useful for steeping grains or all-grain brewing, aiding in recirculation when used as a filter over the end of your recirculation hose.

4.2 / 5.011 Reviewsmuch easier than reusable nylon bagsI've been using reusable nylon bags which requires rinsing and washing them after use, but these are relatively inexpensive and you just dispose of them after using. I use them primarily as hop bags.August 17, 2019Purchased

1 year agoperfect for dry hop in 2ndI use these for whole cone dry hopping in secondary to keep my beer clear of debris. Usually get 3-5 uses each bag before they start getting holes. You get better efficiency if you wring them out twice once a few days in and once on keg day. The 5x16 10pack at $6 is a great deal. adds about 20 cents to a 5 gallon brew. Negligible.July 26, 2018Purchased
1 year agoThis was a good solution for recipes involving lots of grains. The large bags are really good. The smaller bags tended to rip open even with small amounts of grain additions dumping grains into brew pot.sMay 17, 2017Purchased

over 2 years agoSo-SoThese are only a deal if you buy the 10-pack. You can get them anywhere for a buck apiece. The problem for me was when I opened the 10-pack to get one to use, it had a hole in it in the middle of the bag, so it was worthless. Another one had a hole near the top, so I cut it across cleanly and still used it. I just ordered another 10-pack which I have not inspected yet. If there are more holes, I'll look elsewhere.February 2, 2017Purchased
over 2 years agocould be a little tighter weave.I understand that this is muslin, but the weave is almost too loose. A little tighter weave and these would be perfect. They still work well for hops bags and partial mash steeping.November 28, 2016Purchased
