One comment I would like to make is that this kit will work best with a 7.9 gallon primary fermenter. With the skins pack and the juice itself it nearly filled a 6.5 gallon fermenter.July 10, 2018Purchased

I've done an internet search and can't find one like those included in other brand's kits. Any suggestions?BEST ANSWER: I had previously purchased 8" x 16" nylon bags for straining honey from the wax when extracting honey, The bags are 68 x 68 mesh work great for keeping the skins, seeds, stems and leaves from the juice during fermentation. When finished and the fermentation is complete twist the top of the bag till all juice from the bag is separated into the juice for finishing the wine. I have found this works better than cheese cloth, the nylon mesh will not burst when applying the high pressure to extract the juiceDoes this kit come with grape skins?BEST ANSWER: Yes it does and if you make the kit per directions it will nearly fill a 6.5 gallon plastic fermenter. I would recommend a 7.9 gallon primary for this kit. hope this helps.Can you tell me WHERE the zinfandel grapes are from? (country/state????)BEST ANSWER: The grapes for these would be US-sourced. Primarily California, Oregon and Washington would be the source of the grapes. If they were from a non-domestic source, it would point this out.
