Worked excellent for separating my grapes and juice after primary fermentation when working with 8-10 gallons.

great bag for fruit wines
love these bags as they fit into the 7 gallon primary fermenters and are big enough to fit over those primary buckets.

Wonderful tool
Great for holding steeping grain that comes in kits. I reuse these several times by boiling the bag in clean water one or two times after I've brewed with it. When I retire the bag, I repurpose it for brewing compost tea. Great value considering how may times it can be reused.

I tried this bag for my first BIAB attempt. It worked really well and was plenty large enough. Unfortunately as I pulled my bag out, it developed about a quarter size tear. Not the end of the world, but was a bit disappointed. I'll likely try it again and be a bit more gentle w/ my paddle.

2' x 3' Straining bag
I used this straining bag to make one gallon of blueberry wine. It worked great and was easy to clean. It is big enough to probably make a 5 gallon fruit wine. I was surprised how easy it was to clean.

Nice Size for BIAB
I'm starting BIAB all-grain and this is exactly what I needed. It's a little big for my pot (only a 3 gallon, I tend to do small batches) but I like that when I upgrade to a larger kettle this will still work. Sturdy and holds grain well.

Ordered this bag to try and do brew-in-bag . Worked awesome, I have done all the way up to 14 lbs of grain and no tears or breakage of the bag. I know use it as back up filter for my mash tun if I would a have a stuck sparge, I can always move the mash and put this in place and use this as filter(only happened once so far :)) but worked awesome. Definetly worth the price.

This thing is huge. Larger then you would ever need for five gallon brewing. It is veryhigh quality and feels like it would last forever. Only thing it is missing is a drawstring or Velcro.

Great for Drying Hops!
These are great. I use them to collect hops in after picking them. I can hang the whole bag from a window and the hops dry out quick. Seem durable and well made.

Seriously, this will save you time.
When I first started brewing, one of my biggest frustrations was straining the wort into the fermenter. The screen in the funnel would constantly get clogged with particulate matter. Most batches, it would take close to a half hour to get the wort from the kettle to the fermenter. _x000D__x000D_I bought this baby to put into the fermenter, and pour all the wort into this. This strains out the gunk, and in 2 minutes flat, my beer is ready to start fermenting. It's easy to dump the trub out, and you can wash this in the dishwasher without detergent to sanitize._x000D__x000D_I've made 5 batches with this so far, so I have saved about 2 and a half hours, for $7. Best brewing investment I have made!

Will this bag fit a 10 gallon Mega Pot 1.2?
Richard S on Dec 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know how big a Mega Pot is, but it fits my 10 gallon lowes cooler if that helps.
can this be used with an apple press?
A shopper on Sep 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: yes , it would work but it makes a much better ' mash ' bag ... and I doubt it could take too much of that kind of abuse - there are many other cheaper mesh type bags for pressing !
what is the mesh or micron of the extra large nylon filter bag?
A shopper on Feb 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't know the micron size, but when putting the must seeds and all into the bag for crushing, it keeps almost all skins and seeds out of the juice.
