6 months agoWish they made larger press bags.measured by diamiter.Not quite large enough diameter, but was able to sew a added lip around the top to strect the bag over press basket. Worked perfect. Bag is well made and functions grrate. Would recomend but double check diamiter first.October 23, 2018Purchased
6 months agoFavorite straining bagLove the large size. It fits over the rim of my wine press. I just dump all the must into it and tie it up and press. Smaller bags were collapsing into the press. I've used it 4 or 5 times and it seems to be very tough.January 7, 2018Purchased

over 2 years agoJuly 31, 2016Great Hop BagI used this bag to make an imperial IPA and it worked great. I weighted it down with a few stainless steel ball bearings and it never was a problem.March 8, 2013

I have used this with peaches, cranberries, raisins and pears. I freeze my fruit first so breaks down easy. The holes are small I have not had any skins escape into the must. Easy to tie and punch downWill this work for BIAB?BEST ANSWER: I have no idea... I've been an intermediate level brewer (extracts & adjunct malt/grains) for around 35 years. I only use my coarse mess straining bags to strain out fresh hops (which I prefer) from the wort. Of course fresh hops have been increasing difficult to find. (oy.) To be honest, I think I was the wrong person to ask about this.
