5.0 / 5.020 ReviewsThis one brew up real niceMy starting SG cam in a tad low but the taste was there. I added an extra 1/2 pound of rolled oats and I am going to dry hop with 4oz of cacao nips. Over all it was a easy kit to brew.January 11, 2016It was fun to BrewI had a great time brewing this beer. I took it to a Halloween Party and it was gone instantly. I only got 2 beers out of it but they were good. Everyone else said that it was really good.November 16, 2010Very smooth, non-bitterThis beer has been a favorite in my household for some time now. I like it because it is dark, full-bodied, and best of all, very low IBU. It's nice to be able to enjoy a good dark beer without a bitter bite.August 4, 2011A real winnerI brewe this kit 3 time now and will definately go for it again. I read the reviews and varied the recipe slightly Adding 8 oz of toasted oats and dry hopping with cocao nibs will put this recipe over the topFebruary 7, 2017Purchased
1 year agoGreat taste-clean finishWatch this one...I had a hard time keeping this one in the bottle or_x000D_glass once opened.Lots of head!!!_x000D_December 29, 2011Excellent and addictiveWe loved this beer and have brewed it multiple times. It's smooth and filling without being too heavy. Perfect for grey, wet PNW winters (9 out of 12 months of the year). The second brewing we doubled the oats which made it even creamier and smoother. Highly recommend for those who want a nice even, comforting beer.January 27, 2012Great Oatmeal StoutThis is excellent stout. I can't believe the price is so low. I used the brew in a bag method. Had excellent conversion, 1.045 starting gravity. This is really good stout. I will make it again.June 11, 2012Darn GoodGreat recipe. Not overly bitter or heavy. Perfect amount of roasted barley. I played a bit with this (having brewed it 3 times thus far)._x000D__x000D_If you want to boost this a tad add another pound of base-grain or DME. Double the amount of oats._x000D__x000D_Consider adding a few pounds of coco nibs or something similar to the secondary._x000D__x000D_This one was a real favorite and hard to keep around and not share._x000D__x000D_Very good.August 27, 2012Great BeerI have brewed over 3 oatmeal stout batches from midwest. _x000D_and still can't enough, my friends love itOctober 13, 2012Very Smooth Great TasteThis oatmeal stout is a favorite among me and my friends.
