4 months agoResponse from Midwest SuppliesWe're sorry to hear of the trouble with the yeast! I'd have to think this is due to the heat during transit than an issue with quality of the yeast, though. Omega makes excellent yeast products, we've had great luck with them! We'll refund the cost of this yeast for you, though, as you had trouble with it. We highly encourage making yeast starters from liquid yeasts, as it builds up the cell counts and it also acts as a viability test, so you'd know prior to brewing that the yeast is up to the task!August 27, 2018Mike W1st attempt at making a "cerveza"Made a 1 liter yeast starter, 3 days prior to brew day. Pitched after oxygenating, at 52 degrees. Fermenting container bubbling away after 3 hours. Fermentation complete after 15 days at 45-50 degrees, dropping my O.G. from 1.057 to 1.002.
Two more weeks at 35 degrees then I get to sample my work.
