DetailsA blend of the brewers! Midwest and Peace Coffee (www.peacecoffee.com) have teamed up to create this caffeinated stout. Peace coffee is a local to Minneapolis micro-roastery that deals in shade grown organic coffees, and the quality of their beans meets our brewing standards. Combine your favorite beverages and have this one Sunday morning with the paper! The key to a great Java stout is great coffee, so we selected to use 4 oz. of Whole bean Peruvian full city roast that can be percolated, or if possible, cold pressed, then added to the secondary fermenter.
Ingredients: 9 lbs. Domestic 2-Row barley, 14 oz. Chocolate Malt, 4 oz. Flaked Barley, 4 oz. Caramel 60L, 16 oz. Roasted Barley, 2 oz. of hops, 4 oz. Peace Coffee Peruvian Blend, priming sugar, and yeast.

Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 1 answerWhat is the difference between the all grain kit and the regular peace java kit?BEST ANSWER: The All-Grain kit would not have the jug of malt extract, just the malted barley grain. All-Grain brewing is advanced-level brewing, requiring more gear and knowledge. In All-Grain brewing, the milled grain is held at 148-152 for a full hour, and then rinsed ( sparged ) of all the malt sugar to create the wort that you then boil. The malt extract is a shortcut to save time for homebrewing, and eliminates the "mashing" process of All-Grain brewing. -Mike W, Midwest Supplies
