Don't be put off by the can, it has a good fresh taste, and probably is fresher tasting than DME or LME in jugs. The beer tastes good without residual sweetness from unfermentable sugars.
Being in a can it maintains it's freshness and makes good beer. It's light so I can use it in many styles.
I used this pale malt to make a bitter IPA and it worked out great. Will definintely use this malt extract in the future. _x000D__x000D_The only down side is that I needed 9-10 lbs, which means I had to buy 3 cans worth. It would be nice if they came in resealable cans.
This is some of the lightest LME I could find. I was having problems with colors being to dark, this one fit the bill!
I used this, along with a pound of Light Munton& Fison's DME to make an ordinary bitter. I got a 1.040 OG and a ABV of 3.5%. I'm quite happy with the results.
