So far this is my favorite kit from Midwest. I am currently in the secondary fermentation stage, but it is going great. I can't wait to have this wine for the holidays!
I have to say it is totally worth the extra cost for these En Primeur Kits. You get 18 L of juice plus the grape skins. I extended my primary fermentation to 8 weeks on the grape skins and initial oak. Then an extended secondary fermentation as well for 6 weeks on the second oak addition. The acid balance and fermentation levels came out perfect. In fact on bottling day the wine had a much more well rounded mature flavor with tastes and aromas of your typical Amarone wine. I started in October and bottled in March. The wine taste great now and I look forward to how it will age.
