Fresh in the package allows for storage before use
I used cascade leaf hops to dry hop an American pale ale, and the results were superb. The grapefruit aroma is unmistakable, and very pleasant. I did a side-by-side batch to compare dry hopping with cascade pellets and whole leaves, and while the pellets did a good job, the whole leaf hops added fresh herbal notes that weren't present in pellet-hopped batch. Would definitely use again
I use a hop rocket to get great aroma out of these hops before the wort is cooled down so no aromatics are lost. Good citrusy flavor and aroma, just the thing for an IPA. 1-2 ounces gives a nice aroma, especially when used in conjunction with dry hopping.
Cascade hops are one of my favorites and I absolutely love to dry hop with leaf vs pellets. Getting them into the carboy and clean up is a bit trickier but worth it.
used them to dry hop my hop cult kit and turned out great
