Mostly I use it in Amber ales or a dark English Mild. I cap it's use at a pound, and even then you can taste it's presence, along with some roastiness.
Adds a sharp caramel flavor and aroma to beers. It adds some sweetness and color, and I like to use it in Stouts and heavy high alcohol beers.
