This yeast is used to produce the California Common style beer. A unique lager strain which has the ability to ferment up to 65 degrees while retaining lager characteristics. Can also be fermented down to 50 degrees for production of marzens, pilsners and other style lagers.

Yeast performed excellent with the perfect fruity notes I was looking for. Since this was the first time I used a White Labs product, it was not clear whether one vial was enough to pitch into a five gallon batch. All worked ok, but I was never certain the correct amount was used. Yeast was VERY active, even at 62F; primary fermentation complete in four days.
