Product Details

Meet the Raspberry Wheat: Mild, approachable, and fruity, we've found this to be a good "gateway beer" as well as a nice end to a warm summer evening or dense chocolate cake. Medium-bodied with the flavor profile of a Bavarian Hefeweizen, but laced with tart, fruity raspberry aroma and flavor. Natural raspberry extract added to taste at bottling lets you tone down the fruit or turn it way up, as you prefer.

Raspberry Wheat review

This is one of many kits that ive gotten here, as always it had easy to follow instructions. I left it in the secondary for an extra 2 weeks hoping to get a more clear, mellowed brew. Color looks more like a lager. Bouquet strongly reminds me of perfume that old ladies used to wear back in the 70s. Very rosey and a turn off for me personally. Flavor has a little more front end bite than i like. Could be cause you get a nose full of rose & the hops bite your tongue all at once. Midrange swirl the flavors start to take hold & mellow out a bit & the carbonation dances on your pallet. Finish is clean & very fruity but still a touch bitter which doesnt seem a good combo for me. Im going to let this age for a while to see if it gets better to my liking. I used about 80% of the extract. Looking back i think i would use less Raspberry extract & maybe back off on the hops just a touch. Maybe 50-60% of extract to give it a more subtle flavor.

Perfect summer beer

Very light and refreshing. The perfect amount of raspberry flavor. Smooth beer.

Decent American Wheat . . . with subtle fruit flavor

Easy brew day, no issues. Tasted between secondary and bottling, pretty good. The fruit flavor was subtle, which I prefer. We'll see if it becomes stronger after a couple weeks of bottle conditioning.

Raspberry wheat

Pretty good good beer I would not add the whole bottle of extract next time maybe 2/3 of it. Priming sugar I would only add 4 oz of it also extremely carbonated with the whole 5 oz of it.

Easy Fruit beer

Simple fruity wheat beer that my friends really enjoyed. Be aware though, if you add the whole extract bottle, it will have a strong raspberry flavor, bordering on artificial. 3/4's of a bottle does the trick
