This is jsut a washer, but it sealed up the connection between my CO2 tank and regulator. These are a must have.

Gaskets neet to be replaced.
Gas leaks are the worst! Occasionally changing this gasket between your regulator and co2 tank will keep that connection tight and leak free.

You should have this at home
I have had CO2 leaks so I am careful to check my system each time, especially gaskets. So when I found a leak, I was fortunate to have one of these on hand and save myself a lot of hassle and wasted gas. Do yourself a favor, for 50 cents keep one on hand.

Don't have gas leaks
They are hard to find. I keep a couple of these and start by replacing them to see if that solves the problem. If you keg you should have a few on hand.

I have been brewing for two years and had my first CO2 tank gas leak. I had just spent the money to fill it and the next day found it empty. I did not have a spare regulator gasket on hand but now realize that it is good to always have spares of everything. This is a cheap piece of plastic but a necessary item to have on hand.

cut down on aggravation
I've had my share of hunting down leaks and I decided to upgrade connections and use better gaskets. I used this gasket to fix a leak and then replaced others.

Seals your CO2 tank
I can't imagine not using these since I'd be dealing with slow leaks otherwise._x000D_Its a washer and it seals and its mandatory.

What is the diameter of these? Are they a standard size? I want to make sure they will fit my tank/regulator.

BEST ANSWER: ID is 6mm, OD is 17.5mm. It does get crushed when pressed against the valve fitting
