4.8 / 5.06 ReviewsClassic Pinot NoirI bulk aged this kit for 8 months in a glass carboy after fining and stabilizing. The wine came out fantastic with typical pinot noir characteristics with color, taste and aroma. Bulk aging made it seem like a more mature wine in comparison to other kits I have made in the past. Strawberry jam aroma and taste with a long finish that goes down smooth. Soft tannins from the dark fruit flavors this wine offers.May 14, 2018I bought this wine kit because it would turn out a little lighter than a cabernet and would be a good wine for the summer. I just bottled it today and it turned out to be a little sweeter then i was wanting but a few months of aging will improve this wine , over all i would recommend this wine kitMarch 21, 2018Purchased

over 2 years agoSurprisingly wonderfulFirst time we tried this kit. We made no adjustments; followed directions and bottled. Excellent wine. We even opened two bottles later the same day we bottled, and it was wonderful. It will be even better with some aging.April 26, 2016
- Customer Q&A
Browse 2 questions Browse 2 questions and 11 answersThe instructions don't mention adding suphur if aged longer than 6 months; should this be done? And is it a good idea to do this for all aged wines?BEST ANSWER: I have made this wine several times. I just put the amount of metasulfite in it as per instructions on kit. I have this wine that is over 2 years old and it is fine. I do ad a tsp of sorbate to the batch at bottling time. Hope this helps. Is there any oak in this kit? And if so what kind?BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is a packet of oak in this kit. As far as what kind I am not sure. It is enclosed in the packet and I honestly did not think about it. I have bought at least five of these kits and every one has been excellent. very consistent in quality.
