DetailsThis acid based, non-foaming final rinse is used by many brewers who prefer the non-foaming action for their fermenters, serving tanks, part soaking and more. Saniclean requires a contact time of 2-3 minutes. Great on draft lines for eliminating residual odors or flavors which can find its way into the product being dispensed. Effective for 1 week after mixing with water. This product is not recommended to use on soft metals, like Aluminum. Use 2oz of Saniclean per 5 gallons of water.
This product is only eligible for ground shipment within the contiguous United States.

5 months agoI have not yet tried this productThe product arrived as expected. I have yet to actually use this as I make batches of cleaners and sanitizers when I Bottle and begin new brew sessions. I have been using other products from this manufacturer and have always been pleased by the results. I use these brewing products for brewing and for cleaning other items in my kitchen. I will likely use this product to remove odors from the seal of an electric pressure cooker before using in the brewing process as I tend to use the pressure cooker to cook some very aromatic dishes that normal cleaning fails to fully remove the odors from the seal. This will be an important test to determine just how effective this product is at removing odors from spices used in cooking.February 4, 2018Purchased
9 months ago5 Star SanicleanThis product has made sure we will have a safe environment for our wine! We leave it in contact for about 5 minutes and then rinse with vinegar water. All has been well since using this product!March 18, 2017Purchased
1 year agoMy preferenceThis is my go to sanitizer. I prefer it for its low foaming nature. I also like the easy measure design of the bottle.February 7, 2017Purchased
1 year agoSanitizes in 2 minutesI keep a jug filled with solution. If I need to sanitize a bucket or carboy I use a funnel to pour it in, shake it up, and pour it back. By the time I'm done it's sanitized. And there is no foam to get everywhere.February 10, 2014Good sanitizer without the foamThe foam in Star San is kind of annoying and I'm very happy with this sanitzier. I use it for all my buckets and bottles, and have never had a problem.December 29, 2013Works well without the foamI consider the foam of StarSan to be annoying and am more than happy to use this. I sanitize my fermentors and bottles with it right before using. No foam needed.December 28, 2013Great SanitizerExcellent sanitizer that foams way less than Starsan (Note: there is still some foaming). This is my sanitizer of choice, but be careful as this can cause slight discoloration of some equipment if overexposed (silcon hoses, etc.)November 29, 2013Very good sanitizerNo infections with this and I've been using it 18 months and 26 batches of beer. Easy to use and no foam!September 29, 2013Best YetBeen using "SANICLEAN" for a few years & love the time factor, I use 3 mins., the amount needed & the price is the great at Midwest. I also use saniclean many household items like my beer mugs, glasses, Cat & dog dishes, but in the same batch.July 29, 2013

Browse 4 questions Browse 4 questions and 15 answersDo u need to rinse after using saniclean?BEST ANSWER: This commercial product notes in the instructions that some locals/states require a rinse after its use. A reason was not given. We do rinse with 1C of white vinegar to a gallon. Rinse gently with a gentle L to R, not up down, type motion to minimize foam creation. Drain.Do u need to rinse after use of saniclean?BEST ANSWER: The label says no, but I do because if saniclean comes in contact with any of the sulfites, is creates noxious fumesI use iodophor most of the time. I got the marks keg washer and wanted to know about the saniclean... Does it lose color and therefore effectiveness the same way that iophofor does when being pumped through something like the marks keg washer? Looking for a better option than San star as the foam and film after drying bothers me!BEST ANSWER: Hello Pat,
Thank you for choosing Midwest Supplies! There is no color change, but it should last approximately 1 week after being mixed up. The best and pretty much only way to test its potency would be to test the pH of the solution. As long as it is a pH of 3 or below, it will still do its job! I hope that this helps! So is this to be used just like starsan? This product just produces little to no suds? Thank-you in advance for any reply.BEST ANSWER: Correct. Saniclean does not have the foaming agent that is added to Star San. This makes it better for cleaning when a pump is involved.
