DetailsMaster Vintner™ Shiraz makes one gallon of earthy, rich, velvety red wine with flavors of black fruits hints of bittersweet chocolate, plums, black cherries and blackberries that linger on to a long finish.
Ripe, full and concentrated, this wine bursts with aromas of blackberry, notes of black cherry and blueberry and an assured spiciness.
Serve with rich, flavorful dishes like osso buco, roast lamb, traditional Hungarian goulash, or for a purely American treat, Carolina pulled pork or Texas brisket, or for culinary adventurers, red wine braised octopus. Shiraz isn't just a meat-eating wine though: try it with Puy lentils braised with mushrooms and root vegetables for a savory, satisfying meal.
Serve slightly cool (65F) to keep the tannins firm and the fruit lush--and even if you're not doing a food pairing, try it with a piece of bittersweet chocolate. You'll be amazed at how well they go together!

Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 5 answersIf you have no previous wine making experience or materials do you need to purchase anything else along with this kit?BEST ANSWER: Yes, you will need a Wine making starter kit. The Shiraz kit shown here only contains the grape juice, the yeast, some settling agents, and other additives during the process. You will also need some wine making equipment which is a one time purchase up front that can be used multiple times later on. My wife and I purchased the wine starter kit below and it worked out perfectly! The starter kit should contain 2 carboys, a hydrometer (measures alcohol content/gravity), wine thief, stirrer, air bung, and some equipment sanitizer powder. You will really enjoy this Shiraz. My wife and I are going to order some more for our next batch. Good luck!
