4.4 / 5.025 ReviewsAwesomeIf you like Sierra Nevada you will like this one. Could not tell them apart. Great beer...April 17, 2010nicethis was my first all grain batch and was looking for something hoppy and Ranger like....definatley close with a good hop flavor.December 24, 2010Great CloneI'm buying it again. Great Clone, reasonably close. If you like SN, you'll like this clone.December 28, 2010Good Stuff!!!!Brewed this up and dry hopped with 2oz of cascade hops. Conditioned for 1 month. Had a party and it was gone in a couple of hours. Got a lot of compliments.August 20, 2011Very Nice cloneThis brew turned out very well for me with a little adjustment on the hops. Kit comes with 2 oz Perle bittering hops (that I reduced to 1 oz), and 2 oz Cascade at last 2 min. Secondary dry hop with 1/2 oz Cascade whole hop (for at least 2 wks). Turned out ~40 IBU's, it was not too bitter - much like SN and with the dry hopping it had a wonderful Cascade Flavor and aroma very similar to SN._x000D_P.S. select the liquid yeast W1056 - you'll be glad you did._x000D_This batch did VERY WELL at a local Brewfest.September 8, 2011Very good but not a perfect clone of SNI brewed this with only 1 oz of Perle for bittering which brought the IBU's down into a range I thought was more appropriate, in retrospect I regret doing that, the beer would have benefited from alittle more bitternes bite. I followed the Aroma and flavor scehdule as per the instructions and added 1 oz Cascade for Dry hopping. The beer turned out very nice, it was very clean and had excellent american hop aroma, the malt profile was lacking in my opinion, it would have benefited from a heavier dose of caramel malts to bring up the rich flavors and color found in the commercial example. Overall, great kit, great beer, worth brewing. As always Midwest Supply rocks and always treats me right.April 5, 2012fantastic if you love hopsThis is one of the best i've bought. Very hoppy. Its definitely in the same ballpark as sierra nevada. If you like hoppy beers this is a must.September 29, 2012great kitBrewed this as my 4th all grain and it came out great. Great color and flavor balance. Very close to Sierra Nevada (I actually like it better that the original).December 31, 2012Came out better than the real thing. This is my second time with this all grain kit and I must say that it is one of my all time favorites. My neighbors request that I brew it more often. I am thinking about adding a third tap to my kegorator so it can be dedicated to this most delectable brew.March 8, 2013Good, but not SN Pale AleI like this beer, but it's no where near as good as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I've brewed it twice, and will brew it again. Nice Cascade flavor and aroma. The last batch we drank in a week.July 8, 2013
