DetailsExploding with candied fruitiness and fresh strawberry aroma, this classically pink wine has hints of Red Zinfandel's greatness-- jam, blueberry, cherry, plum, boysenberry, and cranberry--that run into a tangy finish bursting with strawberry, kiwi and marmalade. It's surprisingly complex, yet easy drinking.
Serve it ice cold (even over ice for really hot days) or use it as the base for the best Sangria you've ever had: it's like wine and fruit salad all at once!

3.5 / 5.06 ReviewsTasty stuffI bought this kit to make a refreshing summertime drink and because most of my friends and family do not like traditional wine. I would describe this as more of a light, fun, beverage, similar to a wine cooler.
I made one change to the kit, I used Red Star Cote des blanc yeast rather than the Lalvin EC-1118 yeast that is included. I'm just not a fan of the EC-1118, it ferments great but I don't like the dry product it produces.
I started this kit on 4/1/17, O.G. 1.058; racked on 4/11/17, S.G. .998, racked again on 4/16/17, S.G. .998. Bottled on 4/23/17.
I tried the first bottle this past weekend. The wine was tasty and smooth. It had an aroma of strawberry; however, it didn't really taste much like strawberry. I gave a few bottles out to friends and family and have gotten good reviews. I recommend this kit to anyone who likes a light and smooth wine-like drink.May 2, 2017Purchased

1 year agoEasy to drinkThis wine is extremely easy to drink. It is a little more dry than I had expected (but only slightly) and my final ABV was not as strong as I would like at only 8.6%. However the non-wine drinkers in my family love it and they're who I bought and made this for!September 14, 2017Purchased
6 months agoNice color, very tasty!A nice sweet fruity wine, the recipe has you racking the wine 3 times before bottling, I guess that helps to clear it.January 22, 2018Purchased
11 months agoMade for an excellent Christmas Gift!Been brewing beer for 3+ years, and decided to give this one a try. Was my second attempt at wine... first being a Pink Moscato that came out terrific.
Instructions were very easy to follow, however primary fermentation seemed somewhat slow... even in a full temperature controlled fermentation chamber. However, the slow primary fermentation didn't detract from the final product that came out absolutely terrific.
Ended up yielding approx. 27 bottles and gave about 20 of them away as Christmas Gifts to family and friends. Was an absolute hit and everyone LOVED it! Even had a few friends come back and ask for more... leaving the wife with only a few bottles left! I guess it's time to make more!!January 23, 2018Purchased
3 months agoMight make good wine (when I get the replacement parts together)This is the second 'small batch' kit that I have purchased from this maker, and the second time that I have been disappointed.
Both kits have suffered from leaky additive packets - the first (Pinot Noir) had a leaky siligel vial, and this kit has a dried out Kieselsol pack.
I could go after Midwest and I'm sure that they'd quickly bend over backward to make it right, but I intend my comment here to reflect the unreliability of the manufacturer's product.
I am sure that the wine "kit" will yield a suitable wine just like the first one, but definitely not before I go to my LHBS shop to get new clarifying agent. ...again.
Personally, I'm done with MV.December 26, 2017
