Awesome fall brew...
...or any other time of year. Boozy, strong malty flavors up front with a light hop bite at the back end. AWESOME KIT, will definitely be brewing this one again. And definitely gets better with age...let this one sit in the bottle a couple months. Came out right around 7.2% ABV.

Way better than expected.
It might just be because I let this beer age for about four months before kegging, but I was really surprised by just how good this was. Very smooth despite the high alcohol content, and the hops convey good flavor, but not a lot of bitterness. I might just have a new favorite recipe kit. You should definitely give it a try, and maybe let it age an extra couple months.

Excellent beer
Beer was outstanding right after tapping keg. Aged well and seemed to taste better after about a month. Alcohol level was high, but this was one smooth beer, probably the best I've made in quite awhile. I added an extra pound of two row since I batch sparge, seems to work better for me. Gonna order again after my fermenter opens up.

Strong Ale is right
It?s a smooth malty ale, with a punch. Its quire dark, so if you like strong dark ales this may appeal to you. I aged it 6 months to let the complex flavors blend. I think it would be a mistake to have this early. I used the Wyeast Activator and made a 2 liter starter because of it's potency._x000D_

Strong beer
I double ground the grain, mashed at 149 for 90 minutes and got 85% efficiency. This is a strong ale! Its good and smooth too, without any harshness. Its a nice malty beer that I am enjoying. I will make it again in the fall and age it 6 months.

Superior Superior Strong Ale
Hesitant to take on a higher gravity all grain since I have not that many all grains under my belt, but this beer surpassed all expectations. Wished I had saved more instead of giving so much to my friends. Just the right amount of hops, hit the ABV % on the nose. Looking to go back to this one again and again.

Good winter beer
Strong and malty, good flavor, just right for winter. I brewed it in the summer so it would have 6 months to age.
