DetailsThe Brew Belt is the perfect solution for those who need a little extra heat to keep your fermentation at a warm enough temperature. This simple unit produces 15 watts of heat right where you want it. Instead of having to raise the temperature of the room, just attach the Brew Belt, plug it in, and you are good to go. The Brew Belt raises the temp about 10° F from the room's ambient temperature. If you want to be more exact with the temperature, hook it up to one of our thermostat controllers.
Note: Will not fit 7.9 gallon fermenter that we carry. This unit is not designed for wet areas, carboys, or to be immersed in liquid.

4.7 / 5.040 ReviewsI love the belt! It warms perfectly and is very consistent, so I can trust that my brew is fermenting nicely!Works amazing! I would probably get two of them to cover my 6.5 gallon bucket because it's winter here and the ground is a bit cooler so two would cover more area for what I'm fermenting. But it works fabulous and my brew is turning out wonderfully for my first time. Thank You!November 12, 2018Purchased
3 months agoMy basement is 60 degrees. I used it on a 3 gal batch and leaving it plugged in 24/7 only raised maybe 2 degrees. So I am guess this belt will only work for the most part on 1 gal batches. 25 watts is not enough, waist of my money.March 21, 2018Purchased

1 year agoGreat ItemI haven't used as of yet. But will use on next vintage of Elderberry Wine. With the constant and even temperature, the vintage should improve a great deal. My wine cellar is under the house where the temp varies a great deal.February 23, 2017Purchased

over 2 years agoyou need this for making wineAs much as you want to believe a few degrees cooler in your basement won't make that big a difference in your winemaking during the winter months, you are wrong. Use this and you won't have obnoxious levels of CO2 still left in your wine after you de-gas. Worked fine on a glass carboy (for me) but what I did do to ease my mind was add one of those stick-on thermometers to the carboy.December 5, 2016Purchased
over 2 years agoDid it's job!Works properly and came in a timely fashion.August 3, 2016Brew beltAs a winemaker the brew belt maintains a steady even heat within the fermentation range of 72 ad 75 degrees FMarch 31, 2016Saved by the belt!I helped a friend recently brew his first ever home brew. It turns out that the kit was a bit old. The yeast was expired by TWO years. I thought, how Dead could it be? As it turns out, pretty DEAD!March 5, 2016

Browse 3 questions Browse 3 questions and 6 answerswhat do I do for a 7.9 fermenter? this belt says will not work with the standard size fermenter that you sell.BEST ANSWER: A Fermenting heater could work for a 7.9 fermenter (item number 40535). The main issue would be that it would not sit very cleanly on the curved surface of the conical fermenter. Can I use it on a stainless steel conical?BEST ANSWER: Depending on the diameter of the conical, probably. Since the photo was taken, they seem to have updated the design. The one I got had a slip-hole in the end of the rubber coated element, through which the power cord is looped. The only material they don't recommend using it with is glass (which I do anyway, and it's been okay) because of the chance of cracking the glass. Can this be used with a glass carboy?BEST ANSWER: Yes. The Brew Belt can be used on glass carboys.
