3 months agoGreat ToolThis is a very nice thermo-hydrometer. I use T-Hydro's everyday (crude oil lab analysis) and this one is just as nice as my lab quality instruments! Some reviews mention a weak weld on the neck of the instrument....it's glass! Of course it's delicate. Treat it as such and it will last. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and would recommend it.January 30, 2018Purchased
1 year agoExcellent ThermohydrometerEasy to read and essential for my beer making process.March 15, 2016Knowing the temperature is more useful than I thoughtWhen I take OG readings my wort is a little warmer than when it ferments. And if I take a final gravity reading in my basement the wort may have cooled down. This can cause a net difference of .002 gravity points which I like to account for.February 21, 2014Know your alcohol levelThe hydrometer is accurate as long as you can see the level clearly. I like to know what the starting and final gravities are so I can get a sense of the attenuation and alcohol content.January 31, 2014The built in thermometer is niceThe built in thermometer saves me a step and the hydrometer it self is a little bigger and easier to see. It needs a different sample jar because it's taller.January 22, 2014usefulIt helps having the temperature so I can adjust the gravity reading. But with the liquid temperature strip on the side, I have a good idea of the temperature anyway.November 26, 2013HelpfulThe thermometer is nice to have built in, and the extra height makes it easier to read. Now if it came in 2 versions, one pre-fermentation (higher gravity), and one post fermentation, it would be great.October 15, 2013Easy does itIt's easy to read, it's very convenient having the thermometer, all in all a great hydrometer. However, in the long run I fear I will break it. Be very careful with it, and not just drop it into a testing jar.September 28, 2013having it all in one is convenientYou need to know teh temperature to get an accurate gravity reading and it's really convenient having everything measured at once. Robust and durable.August 24, 2013
