Great Tool

This is a very nice thermo-hydrometer. I use T-Hydro's everyday (crude oil lab analysis) and this one is just as nice as my lab quality instruments! Some reviews mention a weak weld on the neck of the instrument....it's glass! Of course it's delicate. Treat it as such and it will last. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

Excellent Thermohydrometer

Easy to read and essential for my beer making process.

Knowing the temperature is more useful than I thought

When I take OG readings my wort is a little warmer than when it ferments. And if I take a final gravity reading in my basement the wort may have cooled down. This can cause a net difference of .002 gravity points which I like to account for.

Know your alcohol level

The hydrometer is accurate as long as you can see the level clearly. I like to know what the starting and final gravities are so I can get a sense of the attenuation and alcohol content.
