Our ingredients for this recipe include: 3.15 lb. Pilsen liquid malt extract, 2 lb. Rice Syrup Solids, 8 oz. Carapils® specialty grains, .75 oz. Hallertau, .75 oz. Hallertau aroma hops, yeast, priming sugar and a grain bag.

Also use oxygen obsorbing caps. Grolsh bottles did not seem to work so well with 3rd batch, taking too long to carbonate. When I was about to brew I realized, "oh crap, I forgot lagers need to be cold fermented!" (don't have a fridge for this) So I called up Midwest and they said to get Safeale US-05 which makes something similar. Was pretty worried about how this would turn out. Fermented 2 weeks (don't use secondary, check out forums for reason why), tried after was in bottle for 1 week and absolutely incredible! Best home brew and best beer I've ever had! Been bottled for 2 weeks and it's getting even better! The only problem is that I can't stop drinking it!December 10, 2011This is by far the best beer I have ever brewed. Everyone I gave this beer to liked it, from light drinkers to Guinness fans.August 29, 2012it worksi used an ale yeast. could not really tell the diff from my friend that did it true lager. honestly it taste like bud does. so i didnt really like it. lol but its light and will give you a good buzz.September 29, 2012Ferment Like AleHave made this a couple times and used Safeale US-05 and ferment like an ale. Lagered this for the first time and I have to say it's just as good if not better with the US-05. If you want this done about 3 months quicker try the US-05.January 20, 2013
