DetailsThe three-prong degasser, with its long prongs, easily achieves the speed necessary for effective degassing. It can quickly and fully degas wine at the fining and stabilizing step and mix multiple batches with great ease. With three one-minute stirrings you’ll have better, smoother, and quickly clearing wine.
Nearly indestructible, this degasser is constructed from high-density food-grade plastic. Unlike most degassers, it can withstand the force of being reversed under full drill power. Plus, the prongs are flexible so they can easily slide through the neck of your carboy.

over 3 years agoOnly used it once butOnly used it once but seems to work fine...as long as it fits into the carboy alright and doesnt splatter.December 24, 2015Gets the CO2 out of your wineOverall it's very effective. Use its gently and it gets all the CO2 out of your wine. If you use it on a drill it's easy to go too fast and introduce Oxygen.January 19, 2014Good wine degasserAs long as you keep the rotation low, it's an effective degasser. Just be careful not to hit the sides or spin too fast. And afterwards wash it off with soap and water, don't just dunk it.November 25, 2013Good for wine and mead makingIts very effective as a de-gasser, just don't use a high speed drill or you may end up oxidizing your wine. The only downside is it needs to be cleaned well with all the surface area. Use a sponge and soapy warm water.October 28, 2013Recommended for wine makingIts very good at degassing, just make sure you rotate it slowly and for just long enough to degas. To clean it I wipe it down with soap and hot water, sponge it off, submerge it in warm water and rinse it off. San sanitize before use. There are some nooks and crannies so its imperative to thoroughly clean after using it.September 12, 2013good degasserIt does good job degassing wine. I have it attached to a drill I can run very slowly. If you whip up a froth you will end up aerating it which you don't want to do. After use I set it in warm water then immediately wipe it off with a soapy sponge so nothing sticky dries on it.August 6, 2013Degasses my wineIt does a good job of de-gassing my wine. Be careful because the prongs are plastic and can break if they hit the wrong material at speed. You also don't want them hitting the side of a plastic bucket and causing scratches._x000D_I like clean it before and after using, so you don't introduce an infection.July 16, 2013Does what it saysUse it in carboys not buckets, because it will hit the sides. II use it on a drill that can run at very low speeds. I use it for slow short bursts, so I don't add in Oxygen instead of degassing. After using I clean it thoroughly because there are various crevices._x000D_May 30, 2013Good, but the stainless steel mix stir is better valueThis degasser works, but I prefer the stainless steel mix stir. That can also degas if you are careful and run it at low speeds. This works fine, but it's made of plastic and more vulnerable to cracking. For a plastic thing, it should cost less.April 13, 2013
