Great for late additions._x000D_Arrive from Midwest in great shape, too!March 12, 2013SpiceUsed for a late hop addition. Spicy aromas, smells great! Can't wait to see how this beer tastes.April 27, 2013Woodsy hopsCrystal brings a really wood/green flavor to a beer with just a subtle hint of herb and spice. This hops goes really well in lighter ales like Pale Ales and Golden ales.July 8, 2013Good late addition hopThe Crystal hop has a subtle flowery aroma and taste. It's more mild and not dominant like some other late addition hops. I use it in lighter beers so it doesn't have to compete with a lot of malt flavor.July 26, 2013Crystal hops for lighter beersThese Crystal hops have a nice flavor and aroma. Instead of dry hopping with them, I add them at flame out and let them sit for 30 minutes.November 6, 2013Great for GrafThe Crystal hop has a subtle flowery aroma and taste. It's more mild and not dominant like some other late addition hops. I use it for making Graf, a hard cider beer.November 21, 2013Use for both flavor and aromaI use it in my mild ales. Crystal has a pleasant mix of woody and green notes, with some spiciness.January 17, 2014Good FlavorI really enjoy using Crystal hops for the aroma it imparts to my beers. It adds a very pleasant floral, fruity, with a bit of wood flavor to the beer. It adds a very nice aroma that I find compliments both American and English IPAs. I do usually lean towards using this in English ales over American just because it compliments english hops better than american hops, in my opinion.May 20, 2013
