over 2 years agoGreat! Easy to Assemble, stableI was lucky enough to get a Midwest Supplies gift card and decided it was time to update my wine cellar space a little. This product was well produced and assembled easily. It is stable. The only watch out is that chardonnay style bottles don't have the right kind of shoulder for this rack and can slip out. To remedy this I put my bordeaux stye bottles on this rack and my white wines in my wine cages. If I must store whites on this rack I use the bottom two rows so they don't fall that far.March 1, 2017Purchased

Browse 4 questions Browse 4 questions and 19 answersDoes this hold champagne bottles and large white wine bottles? (That is mostly what I keep.BEST ANSWER: As these racks are open-backed there is really no restriction of the length of the bottle that will fit. The slots are far enough apart to handle champagne bottles. We have four of these these racks stacked side-by-side and two high attached with brackets to 2x3 horizontal wooden strips screwed into the wall. I recommend that you mount one of your longest bottles in the assembled rack and use that to determine the correct distance between the back of the rack and the wall. That will tell you whether you will need to use 2X3, 2X4, or some other dimension of lumber between the back of the rack and the wall. If you are only stacking one-high you may be tempted not to affix the rack to the wall, but I wouldn't take the risk as a small child would easily topple the loaded free-standing rack if he or she attempted to climb it.What is the best stain to use?BEST ANSWER: I didn't stain mine, but Minwax is a good quality stain for pine. Oil based is tougher to work with but leaves a nicer more durable finish. Pick the color that best suites your taste. What are the dimensions of this rack?BEST ANSWER: The dimensions of the product are as follows: 44" (w) x 48" (h) x 12" (d). However, when you have wine bottles on the rack, the depth can vary by the size of the wine bottle - typically, 13 - 14".Does this hold champagne bottles?BEST ANSWER: Hi there, it can hold wine bottles. Cheers!
