DetailsThis recipe is a staff favorite at Midwest. With a creamy dark tan head, this sweet Stout has a roasted malt aroma. The smooth flavor is a combination of roasted grains and toffee aftertaste.

5.0 / 5.04 ReviewsCrowd PleaserI brewed this beer for my local Brewfest in Lawrence, Kansas. Several people told me that this was the best beer they had that day (we had approx. 90 on tap). Luckily, I had another keg at home, because I didn't have any left the next day!_x000D__x000D_This beer is smooth, delicious, and slightly sweet. I will definitely make this again.November 20, 2010TASTY, TASTY, TASTYBrewed this beer about a month ago, just tried the first one and oh my god, ive never had a better beer in my life....just ordered two more kits!!!_x000D_Also I added some vanilla flavoring to a six pack worth and makes the taste even better!!_x000D_I would recommend it to anyone! Great beer.December 21, 2010SmoothBrewed this kit one time and it was great. Very smooth with good flavor.November 17, 2012Incredibly smooth brewBrewed this in 1st week of April using wyeast 1028, 1st time I had to use a blow off tube, Bottled in May. 2 weeks later I found it lacked any favor like drinking cold coffee. After 12 weeks in the bottle this brew has come together with a little sweet, chocolate malts and rich roasted caramel . incredibly smooth, very drinkable.July 24, 2013
