4.7 / 5.07 ReviewsEasyI just started the Merlot and I never saw such a fizzle!! Must be good yeast. Foamed right over the top of the fermentor. Then it fizzled like just open seven-up. It will be ready for racking Wednesday. I have the Chardonnay also. That gets bottled tomorrow. But it is crystal clear and from my samples, it is pretty good. I like the directions in these kits. Easy to understand and do. I will let you all know how they turn out.April 14, 2019Purchased

over 2 years agoFirst time kit wineThis was the first win kit I had tried...true to its description, it was very easy to make, also true to form it was a excellent Merlot .
Our sons are Merlot drinkers and were very impressed with this red wine....Have made lots of fruit wines and was very happy with this recipe kit.April 1, 2017Very nice wine!My former favorite was Pinot Noir but this Merlot has taken first place. The kit instructions were very complete and easy to follow. I had it in the primary for 10 days and in the secondary for 30 days and it was very drinkable on bottling. A little soft for a red but full flavored and very satisfying. I highly recommend this wine kit to anyone who likes soft reds.March 29, 2017

I would say that overall it was more mild than other Merlots that I have had. No outstanding oak notes. A very good table wine and I will make it again.
