Moscato wines are one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties in the world. Moscato smells sweetly of peach, nectarine, orange blossoms, honeysuckle and jasmine. Lusciously balanced, it's softer acidity make it friendly with saltier dishes--takeout Chinese, especially Szechuan is excellent , but also the bright spiciness of Vietnamese food (spring rolls, bahn mi) or light, flaky fish. Moscato is typically back sweetened, but can also be fermented out to become a off dry white wine.
