Not too dark and not too light, this one’s just right, making it one of our most popular beer kits. An American-styled brew, it is clean, dry and a bit hoppy with an autumn-reddish hue that’s perfect for imbibing on a cool fall night, or any night! Dark specialty grains give it just a hint of roasted flavor. This is a beer that’s easy to drink and easy to brew. It gets a 5-star rating from our customers!

Not bad Review by Rjm

(Posted on 6/21/14)

Product Rating:

First brew attempt. Brewed per directions...2 weeks in primary then bottled. Started tapping into it after only 1 week in bottle. I just couldn't wait and even so young was very drinkable. Thought 5 gallons of beer would last me forever, was surprised how fast it disappeared. As soon as you bottle your first batch, be sure to get another batch going.

I keep it on tap for those who aren't into heavy beers. My uncle isn't big on amber ales but he had a few glasses of this. It's a good easy drinking beer that even beer aficionados will enjoy.

Let it Age - Good Kit Review by BJ

(Posted on 3/5/14)

Product Rating:

This is a very good kit to make, and fairly easy. Make sure to let this one age out as it gets better the longer it ages. If you're doing it for the winter months, get a good start on it to have it ready for the cool nights.

Good drinkable beer Review by Dobson

Product Rating:

I'm very satisfied with this beer. It's a flavorful well balanced beer. The head disappears quickly but there is decent lacing all the way to the bottom of the glass.
I used the Wyeast liquid yeast and will continue to do so.

Favorite beer Review by Jord

Product Rating:

This is my all time favorite beer. Has excellent flavor and easy to drink. Usually brew a batch or two a year it is that good!
This is the beer I suggest all new brewers to go with, out of the 7-8 batches i have done only had one bad batch, and I think it was because it was my first all grain and i messed up for that reason alone.

Very good and great price Review by Howie

This was the second kit I have ever attempted. It has sat for almost 6 months conditioning in the bottle. Sneak one every so often. Wait is well worth it. Malty and smooth. I have enjoyed every aspect of this brew. From making it to drinking. I highly suggest this kit

Good starter kit Review by Sample

Product Rating:

It came with my beer making kit a while back. I really liked it and brewed it again this fall. Its an easy drinking tasty beer that has wide appeal, and isn't limited to craft brewers. I would never skimp on yeast and always use either liquid or safale-04 or 05. I gave it extra time in the pail to let it settle before bottling.
