This is a seriously nice brewpot, perfect for extract brewers...I really like the thick bottom on these, holds temp really well during steeping, and the lid is nice and heavy, too...I feel it improved my last two batches...a real step up from the thin-sided one I was using!

This kettle is very well built. The sides are nice and thick and it transfers heat/cold well. I have one or two small complaints... there is no cutout in the lid for the thermometer and I would really, REALLY, recommend going to the 32 qt size (at least) for doing full 5 gallon boils (needed for all-grain especially). If you only plan on doing extract brewing this kettle is awesome. For the stove top brewer, it fits well on the stove under the vent hood.

I've done a dozen batches with this kettle and am very satisfied. It is well constructed and nice high quality. The lid fits nice and snug. The thick bottom holds/transfers heat well and apparently evenly. The handles on the pot, or on the lid, do NOT get too hot to handle without hotpads.
I need to rest the lid on the pot, just off center, to maintain a boil of 3 gallons of wort on my electric stove-top. I wouldn't boil much more than 3 gallons in this pot.

Great brew kettle. Very solid and sturdy. Plenty big for extract brewing, and the lid fits well. I would recommend this for new to experienced extract brewers. Definitely worth the additional cost compared to less expensive kettles. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this pot for brewing in a tiny, antiquated kitchen. Midwest perfectly cut holes for valve and thermometer, have exactly what I want that nobody else offered. Love brewing with it!

This kettle is great. It is incredibly sturdy and the lid fits tightly. It really retains and disperses the heat well. I feel like it would take quite an effort on my part to scorch something on the bottom. It is quite heavy though, so pouring the wort can be a bit difficult at times, but it's the heaviness of the kettle that really makes it so great for boils.

First batch of brew ever for me. It seems very well built and it held temp easily on a gas stove.

Works great for extract brewing. The handles and lid are really solid and the thick bottom is nice as well. The sides are marked with gallon measurements from 1 - 4 gallons (5 gallons would be the top of the pot).

I finally donated my old Brewer's Best pot that I bought when I first started brewing. I would have loved to get something bigger but it's almost impossible since I live in an apartment. This pot is great, at least 3 times heavier than my last, thicker sides and of course the thick bottom. All this helps to keep the heat while steeping. Great big handles and snug lid. For those in an apartment just note that this guy barely fit under my faucet, luckily there's a utility sink in the laundry room across the hall.
Overall, really great upgrade and a great price for a extract brewer. I only wish I bought this when I started instead.
