P.E.T. 1/2 Liter Beer Bottle, 24 to a case

$24.99

Product Number: 40113

Availability: In stock

We recommend using the P.E.T. Bottles as a safe alternative to glass for bottling homemade soda. Plastic bottles make it much easier to know when the soda is done carbonating because they will become very rigid when carbonated. These bottles are reusable and require 28 mm plastic screw caps (sold separately). It is recommended to soak the bottles in Straight A cleanser prior to using (1 Tbsp./gallon, soak overnight). Case of 24

Good for soda Review by Dobson

(Posted on 3/13/14)

Product Rating:

I make beer and soda. If you use the poly seal caps these will hold in the high CO2 levels. If you skimp and reuse old caps they will leak CO2 and your beer and sod will be flat.

Soda bottles Review by JD

Product Rating:

I make soda and these are good quality bottles that are a good size. You can have some, screw the cap back on, and have the rest later. And they are small so it's easy to carry them around.

Good for samples Review by Will

(Posted on 11/24/13)

Product Rating:

Its easier to bring samples of beer and soda in plastic than glass which can break. Once you get used to it, there is no reason to use glass instead of plastic. It lasts multiple uses, and be cleaned if you do so right after using, and its lighter in weight.

Bigger is better Review by Sample

Product Rating:

Better and lighter than glass, bigger than 12 ounce bottles, holds carbonation better, no glass shards to deal with. These are great, the only drawback is they are harder to clean and eventually wear out and need more expensive caps. Still a good product.

lighter than glass Review by William

Product Rating:

Its a lot easier to bring in samples to work in these PET bottles than bring in 6ers of glass, which weighs more, and is at risk of breaking. people look at these funny, but they like whats inside it (my home brew) and always ask for me.
These PET bottles are good but get the poly seal caps to go with them.

Portable Beer Review by Chris

Product Rating:

I sometimes want to bring beer but don't want to use glass, and these bottles are perfect. They hold their carbonation unlike re-using soda bottles. I rinse them out after use so nothing hard forms, and clean and sanitize them later.

Cleaning nightmare Review by Justin

(Posted on 7/23/13)

Product Rating:

When cleaning these bottles, you need to make sure to use warm water. If you run it through the dishwasher, you will find a couple of the disformed. Also, these bottles dimple very easily therefore ruining the bottle. For the price though, you can always afford a new shipment, or drink a couple 12 packs and buy yourself a capper!

1/2 Liter Pet Bottles or Beer Bottles 24 to a case Review by immpjrm

(Posted on 7/20/13)

Product Rating:

Iike the idea of having these bottles so I can make some homemade root beer or beer. The bottles are great. Haven't used them as yet but plan to real soon. The price for these bottles were cheaper at your site than some other sites also. Thanks for making these bottles available at a reasonable price.

Great for beer at the pool too. Review by machazmo

(Posted on 7/20/13)

Product Rating:

I always fill some of these bottles on bottling day just in case I am going to a pool that allows alcohol, but doesn't allow glass. Then I poor just poor it into a plastic cup so I don't drink the yeast sediment. Great way to get around the no glass rules if you want to bring homebrew. Otherwise, there are so many great beers in cans now. I also use it to gauge when the beer batch is done carbonating as it will firm up. Just wait a week or so after it is firm.

Nice Bottles Review by wyorebel

Product Rating:

These are pretty nice bottles. Perfect for making soda! You don't have to worry about the kids dropping and breaking them open. Plus, they are great to keep up with the carbonation status as the days go by to see if they are ready to chill or not. These with the caps make the kids feel like they just bottled ready to sell soda. Had to tell the oldest we can't sell it.
