Product Details

The Brass 1/2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) x 1/2" Barb works well with the Kewler and Weld-B-Gone kits, or the Blichmann 1/2" stainless ball valve. Makes attaching 1/2" tubing to your equipment easy with the use of one of these barbs.

It does fit my ball valve

It doesn't screw all the way in, but it still makes a water tight seal and I've never had any leakage problem. For the limited contact time (about 4 minutes) brass is fine, you don't need stainless steel.

Doesn't quite fit my Blichmann Boilermaker

It screws in and doesn't leak, but it doesn't screw in all the way, it stops several turns short. It could be the pot and not barb. In any case it works out.

fits my ball valve

It screws right into the ball valve on my kettle. I attached tubing and there was no leakage,

For my Ball valve

This is the right part to connect the ball valve on my brew kettle to tubing that I use to transfer to my fermentor. It screwed right in and no leaks.

Brass not Stainless Steel

I'd give them 5 stars if made of stainless steel. I use it to pump from my ball vale to my fermentor. I just attach it to the ball valve, and thread on the Silicone tubing, no leaks, takes 15 seconds.
