John, one of our Midwest brewers, has been busy making lots of beer lately and has learned a few tricks along the way. He'll be doing a class to share those things. If you've started with a couple batches and are unsure about a few parts of the homebrewing process, or if you're just looking to make your homebrewing a little more advanced this class is perfect for you. John will also be able to answer your questions, so bring plenty of those along, as well! 60 - 90 minute class. Call to reserve a seat!

British Beers

Robert is going to share his knowledge on British Beers, which are some of his favorites. He will talk about IPA's, Pale Ale's and Bitters while brewing up a batch of all-grain beer and focusing on the differences between the British and American versions. Plan to spend 90 minutes learning from Robert. Call ahead to reserve a seat!

Making Wine from Kits

Make wine from varietal juice concentrates from all over the world. You can learn to make excellent wines at home for a fraction of the cost of buying them. Bob will walk you through the wine making process so you can see how easy it really is. With just a few helpful tips, you can transform a wine kit into 30 bottles of great tasting wine! You will have the opportunity to sample several wines made from these concentrates. Class will last about 1 1/2 hours.

All Grain Brewing

Ed will brew a batch of all grain beer in our parking lot throughout the day on Saturday. He will spend time explaining the whole process to you. If you've considered starting all grain, or just want to hang out and ask questions, stop by the store. Brewing from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

LaVail will walk you through all the steps from fruit prep to balancing, finishing and bottling. LaVail will adapt this class for you to learn to make wine from any fruit you may have available. He will answer your questions and help you get started making great wines at home. You will also have the opportunity to taste a few of Midwest's delicious fruit wines.
