Party Star Deluxe Tap System

Product Number: 8120

Availability: In stock

Please note: These kegs make a long journey from Germany and as result, many arrive with small dents. These are of no cause for concern and do not affect the functionality in any way. Thanks for your understanding!

This system is perfect for the person who doesn't want to dedicate a refrigerator to a full size keg system. Simply prime your beer with 3 oz. of priming sugar, transfer into the mini keg, and in 2 -3 weeks you are ready to drink. Four 5L mini kegs is all you need for one batch of beer. You use 16 gm. CO2 cartridges to dispense the beer, but they cannot be used to carbonate the beer. Because you are using CO2, a keg will stay fresh for up to 5 - 6 weeks. You will use 1 CO2 cartridge per keg. Each mini keg will last for 6 - 8 uses before needing to be replaced.

The Party Star Deluxe Tap System Includes:

  • Party Star Deluxe Tapper
  • 4- 1.33 gallon mini kegs
  • 4- reusable rubber bungs
  • And 6 - 16 gram CO2 cartridges (1 per keg use).

Height 14"
Diameter 7"

Works great for homebrew Review by Lee

(Posted on 5/3/14)

Product Rating:

Just finished "tapping" my first keg of Homebrew. Worked great! IT was a little foamy at first, but is settling down. I have 6 of these Kegs, and may buy a few more.

Great Product - NO FOAM!!! Review by AmericanBrewerInTheUK

Product Rating:

This is a fantastic little kegging system, with that, there is a trick to getting rid of a SUPER foamy beer. After putting the tube into the rubber bung when tapping, allow the CO2 on the top of the keg to be released. Then tap with the CO2 cartridge. Beers will pour perfectly!!!!

3 - No bottles needed
4 - no expensive and bulky CO2 tanks, just prime with 5 ounces of table sugar

1 - Slow

For parties only Review by Ohara

(Posted on 1/29/14)

Product Rating:

Its well suited to bringing beer to parties in quantity.
If you plan on tapping and consuming the entire keg, it's effective.
The problems can occur if you don't finish it off, and there is a slow leak. Thats happened to me a few times and is pretty annoying.

Tinker Toy System, Buyer Beware! Review by Conan

(Posted on 1/7/14)

Product Rating:

I just tapped it for the first time and it way over-foams the beer on delivery even thought I was careful to make sure the knob was turned to low delivery on the CO2 and at a temp it wouldn't flare off as foam.

I primarily bought this system to try out different aging periods on five gallon batches of more complex beer thinking that the CO2 charge might keep everything fresh longer once it's tapped, etc but I question whether or not you will get a good enough seal to keep it from oxidizing based on other on-line reviews of this system. If your intent is trying varying aging, I'd recommend bottling.

If you are merely planning on these as a way to rack over some beer to take to parties that will be consumed in one sitting, I can see where this is handy with the gravity set up.

These come with the pour bungs already installed on the side, you need to get the vent bung for the top not the grey CO2 charger bung if you want to use it for a party dispenser. I'll post another review if I can get the foam under control, but I'm not optimistic that's going to happen. I did find that depressing the handle all the way helps with the foam issue some. I believe the issue is how narrow the delivery tube is to the glass, too much pressure and a large intake tube.

Build quality is nice on this, I just don't think the overall value is that great.

I like the system but . . . Review by Dan

Sometimes it leaks, sometimes its fine. I like the system but the leaks are a pain, and I think it needs to be reworked.

Can easily leak Review by JD

Product Rating:

It saves a great deal of time and effort when bottling, and is easy to store. Just cool down one mini keg at a time. Its doesnt always seal or the seal can fail. I use priming sugar and rely on natural carbonation and use gravity to dispense the beer. It's slow but still works.. If it didn't leak it would be 5 stars, as it is I give it 3 stars because half the time it leaks.

It leaks Review by TANK McNASTY

Product Rating:

I bought this system and it leaks. Total garbage. You can still use the kegs however. Just buy the vented bungs and use the natural carbonation to dispense the beer. A lot easier, much less hassle. There's really no need to use co2 to dispense 5 liters of beer. Just let gravity do the work and save your beer from ruine.

Very Cool Review by rob

Product Rating:

This thing is great. It makes bottling day easy. It has a certain cool factor that can't be described very well until you see it. Consider that they are way more portable than a kegging system too.
