Product Details

Purpose-designed from head to toe. Constructed from food-grade PET, the revolutionary Big Mouth Bubbler® Plastic is a virtually indestructible fermentor. Equipped with 3” thick anti-flex ribs, a punted bottom and decreased base diameter for extreme strength and durability. Featuring gallon graduation marks for instant volume measurements. Its smaller footprint preserves precious brew cave space and allows for convenient storage inside a standard brewing bucket. And, of course, its revolutionary wide mouth eliminates glugging and enables hands-on cleaning for a faster, cleaner clean. Finally, get your hands wet.

We have thoroughly planned out every last feature of this innovative product, right down to it’s physical construction. After untold amounts of research into the properties of PET plastic, we fanatically chose to make the Big Mouth Bubbler™ with as little plastic as possible while still maintaining a high degree of structural integrity and brute strength. What does this all mean? It means that the impact to our planet Earth is as minimal as possible. We call this a win-win situation. Check out the Plastic Big Mouth Bubbler™ for yourself. You will never go back to a traditional style carboy again.

**Important Note: Do not fill any Plastic Big Mouth Bubbler® fermenters with very hot liquid - temp should not exceed 140 degrees Farenheit (60 celcius)

You will also need a Small Universal Carboy Bung (not Included) - drilled or solid. The Carboy Dryer is compatible with the Big Mouth Bubbler® when used in an inverted position.

I understand the 1 star review, but I disagree

This product was meant to use the minimal plastic possible in order to reduce the associated impacts, so it does come out of the box feeling a lot flimsier than you have in mind; this is almost guaranteed. However, I've been using them for years now, I own 2 of them, and they are my go to. If you are still fermenting in glass carboys or plastic buckets, this is a perfectly good solution. It is MUCH lighter than glass, and if you have ever dropped a glass carboy then you know how dangerous they are. This is super easy to clean, much lighter to carry, and is plenty sturdy. I've made a lot of beer in these, and transfer straight to a keg from them, and love them. Yes, they are plastic, yes they are light, but no they will not burst. Not even close, they are well designed. As I've upgraded to 20 gallon brewing capability, I'm still using them. They will be replaced out by a conical fermenter next year but I have full faith in them until then.

Too thin in spots to use!

Ours has spots where the plastic is so thin it will burst if we try to fill it with wine. Not even useable! Buy the glass one.
