I got this with my starter kit and still use. Eventually I'll upgrade to stainless but for now it works great for what I use it for.July 31, 2013Cheap and EffectiveThis works great if you're working with a space constraint on a stove. I'm able to stir a 5 gallon batch and still be under the vent hood. The plastic is easy to clean and sanitize and it will not scratch up your kettle! _x000D_April 21, 2013Not for all grain mashesWill work fine for stirring extracts in but don't expect to use this as a mash paddle because it is too flimsy for the job. It really yields under the weight of a typical all-grain mash. I still use it for stirring all grain but can't wait to get something more substantial.April 19, 2013Great PaddleThis paddle works great in my 5 gallon brew kettle and keeps my hands out of boil splash range! Easy to clean as well.April 2, 2013great stirrergreat stirrer for a good price. I agree that it does get a little on the flimsier side when hot, but still works fine. Very sanitary and easy to clean.March 12, 2013Got to have something to stir withThis 18" paddle I feel is a little stronger than the 24", but you have to stir and this is easy to use, easy to clean, and last a long time.March 12, 2013ReliableI have brewed about 15 batches on this paddle. It is sturdy, and clean up is a breeze. Paddle does change color due to the wert, if that sort of thing bothers you. As others have said due to the heat it does get a little flimsy but not to the point of it not being able to do its job. I prefer to use the paddle over the spoon!March 11, 2013Works wellThis is a great general paddle, I own all the lengths and this size gets used often. The plastic has not stained in wine applications but did get a slight off tint in wort. I cleaned up the molding lines on mine with a sharp utility knife then smoothed with a propane torch. Would buy again!March 9, 2013SolidDurable stirrer. Cleans very easy. I like these better than spoons. Only downside to this is it sometime will get stained from the wort. Not a big deal to me, but maybe for someone. Good value, though.February 19, 2013
