9 months agoGreat for Tap-A-Draft BottlesThese caps seal very well with only hand tightening because of the conical seal. The seal works against the inside rim of the bottle mouth where nicks are less likely._x000D__x000D_Seem to be strong and well made using a generous amount of plastic in the basic cap._x000D__x000D_Under pressure, they are a bit tight to remove. I have found that a rubber plumber's wrench works well. Be careful of:_x000D_1. Be sure that the cap is removed slowly. There is a large volume of pressurized gas in a Tap-A-Draft._x000D_2. Do not use the plumber's wrench to tighten the cap. I immediately broke 2 in a row trying that.January 11, 2011GoodThey are right about these fitting most gallon jugs. I ordered the gallon jugs from Midwest and they do fit them, but these did not fit my gallon jug here at home. But, that's alright as it has a different lid, it's just not as sealed as these. I'm hoping these help with my second fermentation of Kombucha to create some fizz.January 24, 2011ExcellentGreat job of maintaining carbonation. I am impressed with the seal overall.October 19, 2012Great caps - GrowlersI bought these because when I bring my homebrew around, its usually in growlers. These caps fit tight and seal well. I've had them filled for a week or so and holds the carbonation well. They fit standard growlers very well. Best part, I clean them and reuse them! My uncle also had some glass half gallon jugs for his maple syrup and they fit that jug too!October 19, 2012Perfect SealI started out using these for tap-a-drafts, but now I use them for standard growlers. They are a very hard plastic cap with a nice tapered plastic liner/seal inside that seals perfectly. If you want to carb in the tap-a-draft bottles these are basically a must. Same thing for growlers, but don't carb to more than 2.4 volumes in a growler or it could burst. I use them to cap my growlers I fill at home off my kegging system and it holds the carbonation very well. I love these things. They are very reusable because they are durable, and if they get really nasty you can pop the polyseal liner out and clean everything.December 21, 2012Great with GrowlersThese caps make a great seal on all of my growlers. They are able to maintain pressure so that my beers retain their carbonation for several days. The fact that they are also easy to clean makes them a must have for growler users.January 21, 2013These are the caps you wantThese caps can be hand tightened and seal perfectly. They fit growlers and can be cleaned and reused. The design with the conical seal against the inside rim is what makes it work.March 17, 2013Fit the 1/2 gallon jugsI use a couple of 1 or 1/2 gallon jugs to make starters and also to bottle in to take my beer to parties (its very convenient bringing a couple of jugs to a party instead of a couple of 6 packs and losing my good bottles). These caps fit the jugs and make a tight seal, holding in the carbonation.April 12, 2013
