- Customer Q&A
Browse 7 questions Browse 7 questions and 31 answersCan I use these to decorate as centerpieces for a wedding reception?BEST ANSWER: It is possible to use these bottles as centerpieces. You might want to decorate the bottles since they are very plain. Also, the bottles are light so you may have to weigh them down with sand or something if you have a high floral arrangement. Finally, like any bottle opening they are somewhat small and will not accommodate a large arrangement. Any arrangement with heavy stems/stalks would be somewhat limited in size. Are these bottles sturdy?BEST ANSWER: As wine bottles go they are on the thinner and lighter end of the spectrum, but I bottled and corked over 75 bottles of wine with them and have had no issues; they are strong enough. Can these bottles be capped, or do they only take corks?BEST ANSWER: I corked mine. Honestly don't know if they can be capped although it says they will not accept screw caps. Are these bottles suitable for white wines also, such as a Moscato?BEST ANSWER: Yes, these will work for either but a traditionalist may prefer a white bottle for a white wine. Are these bottles punted/BEST ANSWER: The bottles have a slightly concave bottom, but they don't have a classic punt--at this price it's rare to find a fully punted bottle.
In addition, punts were put in to add structural strength to glass that wasn't perfectly formulated or annealed, and while these days it's seen as a sign of quality, modern glass and glassmaking techniques mean that punts are no longer necessary.
Punts do look pretty classy, but these are very good bottles at an excellent price.what is the diameter of the bottle for fitting into a rack?BEST ANSWER: Approximately 3 inches...Do the zork closures work with these bottles?BEST ANSWER: Yes, they work great! Cheers!
