DetailsWyeast 2124 Bohemian Lager yeast: A Carlsberg type yeast and most widely used lager strain in the world. Produces a distinct malty profile with some ester character and a crisp finish. Will ferment in the 45-55F range for various beer styles. Benefits from diacetyl rest at 58F (14C) for 24 hours after fermentation is complete. Also used for pseudo-ale production with fermentations at 75F, (24C) which eliminates sulfur production.

9 months agoDud of a yeast StrainI bought 6 packets of this strain for a 40 gallon Maibock lager batch I was brewing......I even prepped it by using the recommended yeast starter kit from Midwest supplies......when I pitched it in my wert @ 55 degrees F. it was a non-starter......don't waste your money on this brand, instead go with Wyeast or White Labs brands and you won't be disappointedJanuary 12, 2018Purchased
