SKU Y1272

Product Details

Reliably flocculent, producing bright beer without filtration.
With many of the best qualities that brewers look for when brewing American styles of beer, this beer yeast strain's performance is consistent and it makes great beer. Fruitier and more flocculent than Wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast, slightly nutty, soft, clean with a slightly tart finish. Ferment at warmer temperatures to accentuate hop character with intense fruitiness, or ferment cool for clean, light citrus character. Expect good attenuation, but this will vary with grist makeup, mashing protocol, or other wort characteristics. Reliably flocculent, producing bright beer without filtration.

  • Pure pitchable yeast for brewing

  • Contains 100 billion yeast cells

  • Designed to directly inoculate 5 gallons of wort

  • Contains 125 mls (4.25 oz. or 128 grams) liquid yeast & malt-based nutrient blend

Styles: American Amber, American Brown, American IPA, American Pale Ale, American Stout, Blonde Ale, Fruit Beer

I prefer dry yeast which is cheaper and a little easier, but this what they are pushing.

It was not a bad thing! Great active batch! When I use this yeast I always use a blowoff tube.

Super flavor and always does the job well.

Great yeast flavor, always dependable fermentation and I prefer it to dry yeast.
I can’t imagine a better yeast!

This yeast pack works very well

First time I tried one of these packs I followed the instructions, put the pack in the palm of my hand and the pack broke and sprayed the contents (nurients) all over me and my sink. Didn't burst the sack of yeast inside like it should have either. I was able to salvage it but I was scarred by the experience. After doing a little research I decided to try it again. Two times. This time I was able to get the process to work. The yeast did it's job very well both times. I would definitely buy it again.
