Imperial Yeast B45 Gnome

Very active under somewhat adverse conditions. Provided exactly the Belgian flavor profile I was going for. I might add in a little champagne yeast next time because I like my Belgians a little more finely carbonated.

Quick start, powerful and fast

I used this yeast for 3 beers, a Belgian table beer (1.050) and washed that yeast for a Belgian IPA (1.062) and Belgian golden strong ale (1.089). All 3 took off in less than 24 hours without a starter and the fermentation was very active with about a 2 inch krausen. The IPA and golden strong both finished at 1.011 after about 10 days. Really impressed with my first Imperial purchase
