Very thin metal

It is advertised as an economy pot. The store provided specs on the metal thickness but that meant nothing to me. After receiving it I now take it to mean the metal is very thin. My pasta pots and sauce pans are much thicker. I’m going to try to make it work using it in another thicker pan, sort of as a double boiler. I think the sugars would burn to the bottom of something this thin. When I say thin, I also worry it might not be sturdy enough to even be able to contain 40 lbs of water. Nothing against the seller, they listed the specs, I just didn’t imagine there could be anything this thin.

Mehhhh it’s a cheap pot

Thin... and the rivits leak on the handles. Don’t fill it past handles and your good. Also don’t hold/lift by the handles because those things feel like they will pop off when holding 4+gallons of weight.

Worked for what I was looking for.

It could not have been better, drilled a bunch of 1/16 holes in the bottom, it fits in the brew pot and the handles stop it from falling in, so is a good mash tune.

Great pot for the price

Great pot for the price. It does everything I need from a pot

Works great, have used it for two batches so far. I have to move it around on the glass stove top to keep my boil going, perhaps poor surface contact. Will probably work better on a gas stove.
