Product Details

The floating thermometer is especially convenient for the all-grain brewer. This thermometer will float in the mash, giving the brewer tight control over the mash temperature. You'll get quick and accurate measurements with this unit. It is an alcohol thermometer and the ballast weight is made of steel, so there is no need to worry about toxic materials.

Works well

I had one for 28 years of brewing until I got careless and broke it by using it as a stirrer. That was on me.

It works good but they break easily if you don't take special care of them. I prefer other kind of thermometer.

This did its job for a while - for me it was useful to check the temperature of wort as its cooling down. BUT it does not come with a protective case and it broke during moving/storage. I want something like it that is less fragile.
