I use it to mill my barley and other whole grains for my mash bill. Much better starch conversion with the adjustable gap!
The machine works very well, I mounted it to a wooden box for stability. It cracks my barley and wheat perfectly, it will however NOT crack corn kernals, which is one of the reasons I wanted a grain crusher. I use a hand drill motor to drive it and that works nicely but its not a long term solution. The machine is well made and looks as if it will last a long while if cared for.
This little gem works well, was easy to assemble, it is quite durable. Really ahppy with it, even for the price.
The mill itself seems great so far. I’ve milled just over 100 lbs of grain with it and I did have it clog on me once and I had to disassemble it but I’ll write that off as user error. The one thing that drives me nuts about it is the black rubber bumper that covers the hopper, it constantly comes off and could certainly be designed in a way that makes it “click” in place.
