Fifty feet of stainless steel tubing combined with proprietary barbed fittings and our innovative drop-angle design, perfect for 10 - 15 gallon batches.
Quickly cool even the largest of batches down to yeast pitching temperature and reduce the chance of contamination. All stainless steel coil construction is easy to clean and will not corrode like other metals making your brew day easier and safer than before.
- 50’ Stainless Steel Immersion Chiller
- Vinyl Tubing; one end with a garden hose fitting for attaching to a utility sink
- Hose clamps to secure tubing to barbed fittings.
No need to sanitize. Simply drop your clean chiller into the kettle a few minutes before the end of the boil and it will be ready to go. When done, spray clean and never worry about corrosion again.
Brew with peace of mind like never before. Drop-angle connections provide insurance against contamination. Surprise leaks stay outside your kettle and away from cooling wort. Ensure secure tubing with proprietary barbed fittings. Eradicate shooting streams of water that make a mess in your brew cave. Do away with ill-fitting hose clamps on mis-shapen chiller connections.
Maximize flow and minimize fuss. The Silver Serpent® drop-angle eliminates kinked tubing. No more hassling with propping up water hose. Tubing can now hang tension-free, kink-free and problem-free.
Standard garden hose connection allows for brewing outside or connects to a laundry sink faucet as your chilling water source. Use the optional Faucet Adapter to connect your Silver Serpent® to a standard kitchen faucet when brewing inside.
Dimensions: 9 inches wide, 24 inches tall to the bend, 8” coil height, 3/8 ID tubing

this is an AWESOME immersion chiller! i went from doing ice baths to this 50' SS chiller! i wanted this stainless steel chiller for the no nonsense durability and out the box no leak design. gave it a test run when i first got it and had 0 leaks. on my next brew day it worked flawlessly! after flame-out it took my boiling wort down to 65 degrees (went to far) in <15 mins. was 40 degrees outside that day. thanks for the awesome product! i might get the 25' ss chiller for a prechill in an ice bath when i go to 10gal batches. ; )
Bring wort from 200 deg to 80deg in 20 min.
Big time saver
Better than the copper one I used. Copper one bent easily. This one is sturdy
I combined this with a previously used (for over twenty years) 25' copper wort chiller for my most recent batch of homebrew. I used the old chiller immersed in a bucket of ice inline with the Silver Serpent to bring the five gallon batch of wort from a vigorous boil to 72?F in twenty minutes. This is a great aid in cooling a full boil in a decent time interval. Kudos to Midwest.
I usually use a Shirron plate, but setting up a pump and such for a single 5-gallon batch is a pain. This immersion chiller was not only really easy to use (dunk in the wort to sanitize) but also chilled my 5.5 gallons of wort from boiling to 72 in about ten minutes. I have really cold ground water, but I'm pretty sure it used less than my plate chiller usually does and I recovered that for my hot tub, of course.
Great job--this is in my permanent toolkit.
